The Satin Doll & The Fabulous Bastard
Don’t name a STREET after me. I don’t need a DAY named in my honor. I’m not even interested in a KEY TO THE CITY. However, name a COCKTAIL after me, and you had me at “Hello!”
Tuesday night Priscilla Esser & I were honored with our own signature cocktails at the oh-so-hip Lemongrass Thai Bistro in SoChi. We arrived with our minds on the mission and the mission on our minds. Does that qualify as Mission Work? Not sure, but I do know we were there to begin an outreach program. Not only did we get to select the cocktail’s name, we played mixologists for the night and concocted our cocktails, selected the glassware that the drink will be served in and the garnish. Priscilla’s cocktail is “The Satin Doll” and mine, “The Fabulous Bastard.” They are truly Signature! I would say that our mission is certainly of the outreach variety … bellies to the bar, outreaching for another Satin Doll & Fabulous Bastard!

The fun was had, now the work begins. A “Run for the Roses” ain’t just a horse-racing term. No sir, promoting our cocktails will make the Kentucky Derby look like, well, exactly what it is – a race for two year olds! Goodbye Horses! We are sophisticated SoChilites and there is nothing like a little friendly competition to turn up the heat! Especially when Alcohol & Egos are involved. This competition is between the sexy Satin Doll and the slightly older but never-the-less Fabulous Bastard!
So you ask, “What’s so Fabulous about the Bastard?” … EVERYTHING !!!!!!!
All for the Low, Low Price of $9.
Right out of the Starting Gate…Attempt if you dare:

Bunnies weren’t made for boiling. Shoot ‘em instead. I have to give props to my dear friend, artist & filmmaker Joseph Guay. He shot the cover for Collective Soul’s new album.
Need to save face? My wife, Kim, had a post-summer microdermabrasion to remove the sun damage and she’s singing the praises of aesthetician Stephanie Ollikainen. If you’re in need, give her a call at Dr. Stefan Adair’s office. 478-633-7677.
Don’t Miss: Maconite Blogger & Editor-in-Chief of Red State.com, Erick Erickson on Sean Hannity’s show this coming Monday night, Aug. 31st. FOX NEWS Channel, 9pm.
I’ll end with a TOAST … to the incomparable Satin Doll, SoChi’s own Holly GoLightly, Priscilla Esser. “To The Death, Baby! SALUTE!”
