The Segal Has Landed
OINK! Do you smell Bacon? I do! The swine flu flew into my home this past week. My son has been plagued by the pork…but thankfully pigs do fly. He has made a full recovery.
While on the subject of flying, just as the feathers are touching ground from movie star Karen Black’s departure another big bird is flocking to town. Iconic documentary filmmaker Ken Burns and his Segal collection are landing at the Museum of Arts & Sciences.
Burns’ film “The National Parks” aired last night on GPB. This Saturday @ 2:30pm Burns will present his three short films “Seeing, Searching, Being” on Maconite-turned New Yorker-turned millionaire-turned artist William Segal.
I want my MTV! Have you seen the new show “POPZILLA” that premiered this week? The animated TMZ satire was written & executive produced by Rob Fried whose parents, Jeff & Linda, live in Macon.
SAVE THE MUSIC! The Music Matters concert is tonight @ the Cox Capitol Theatre. If you want to keep Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon, please attend this benefit concert. Performers include: Chris Hicks, Paul Hornsby, Mag Tard, Roly Bots and more. Tickets are $12 @ the door.
