Desserts & Liquor

My belief that liquor does qualify as a appetizer has been validated. The SoChi Gallery won the “Best Dessert” award at the Macon Arts Alliance’s TASTE OF THE ARTS event this past weekend for my SoChi Shooters. You Love Me! You Really Love Me! The winning recipe included: El Pobre Gold Tequila made of 100% Agave, Franco’s Lemon Bar Mix and a lot of SoChilizing! They were served in shot glasses on a bed of NuWay Weiner’s famous flaky ice. Laura Linney’s quote from Showtime’s newest hit “The Big C” seems all too appropriate:
“I’m just having Desserts & Liquor.”

If a margarita doesn’t float your boat try a Lobster Bloody Mary and be transported to Nantucket, if only in your mind. Recipe: Vodka infused with Jalapenos, Mexican red chillies and shaved horseradish, steak sauce and Tabasco. Garnish with an 18” skewer packed with all the meat of a lobster’s tail & claws, lemon wedges, olives & heirloom tomatoes.
